Guest author

K.T. McGivens

I was born and raised in Maryland and was a public school teacher for several years before transferring into the healthcare field. Then, 7 years ago, I switched careers again and, although hoping to retire soon, I currently oversee the operation of a large commercial art district community in the panhandle of Florida.

I have been a published poet for over three decades and started my new venture of writing my Katie Porter Mystery series in 2019.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, both from the University of Maryland. I have a grown son and daughter.

My Feedback

Working with Jennie is like...

When Jennie Griffin of The Redhead Notes first approached me about doing an interview, I was, at first, hesitant. I had been asked to do interviews before only to discover that the interviewer only wanted to boost their own blogs, websites, or products. But I quickly found that this was not the case with Jennie. She had a genuine interest in my mystery series and had even written a wonderful review of my first book. More so, she had an interest in me as an indie author!

She not only posted her review on her beautiful blog page but on Amazon and Goodreads as well. She really showcased the book. Her twitter posts created so much activity that I felt I was everywhere! There is no way I could have created so much “buzz” on my own. I was also given the opportunity to submit something as a guest blogger and decided on one of my poems. This brought me even more attention and several people ended up buying one of my poetry books.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was working with her. Jennie is kind, respectful, patient, and extremely generous in her regard for an author’s time and sensitivity. I always felt that I was in good hands! I am deeply honored to have been a part of her special The Redhead Notes!
