My place of birth is the small town of Bingley, England. For all lovers of history, it is known as 'The Throstles Nest of Old England' and mentioned in the formidable Doomsday Book. Bingley is also a stone's throw away from Haworth, home of the wonderful Brontë's. My most admired being Charlotte, who of course, wrote Jane Eyre – one of my favourite books – I love to read and watch anything that features dark, brooding, gothic Victorian mansions and spend many an evening escaping into the world of all things gothic, whether it be a book, movie or TV series.

As a child I wanted the ability to evoke emotion within people, so naturally what better way to do that than to become a Singer or Actress? The only problem was, (and still is), my innate shyness. So, the next best thing for me was becoming a writer. Over the years I dabbled, but never really took it seriously until I entered Yahoo's writing competition – a worldwide call for writers and authors. Their sole purpose to write a story to entertain children during the 2020 spring/summer lockdown of the Covid-19 pandemic. I had never written a children's story before, but nonetheless, I was up for the challenge. My self-belief resulted in my story, The Diary of Primrose Goldie Gold being a winner, and is now featured in Yahoo's debut edition of the STOR14S 2020 podcast series, and narrated by Hollywood actress, Megalyn Echikunwoke.

My first book, The Lyons – a gothic novel published in 2021; my second, The Land Army Girls Are Here published in 2023 – a WW2 comedy-drama. So, for all intents and purposes I guess you should call me a multi-genre author – I write what I am passionate about at the time. So, expect the unexpected for my next book...
