So you want to submit a book for review…

The good news is I am taking requests to review books. The bad news is my list is getting quite long, so I am booking 6-9 months out.

Preferred Formats:

  • Kindle
  • Paperback/Hardback (Autographed copies are always appreciated)
  • PDFs

Preferred Genres:

My taste in books is much like my taste in music…it spans multiple genres and themes. At this point, I do not have any genres that I will not consider.

My Format

Each month I will feature one author and book on my website. This feature will include: 

  • Book cover,
  • Author photo (if I desired)
  • Links to author’s social media and Amazon
  • An in-depth review
  • Author interview
  • Shorter summary reviews published to Amazon and Goodreads,
  • Promotion during that month on The Redhead Notes’ website and Twitter account.  

Things to keep in mind:

  • I use a five-star rating system that you can read about here.
  • I provide thoughtful reviews that capture the book from beginning to end. I will never provide a two or three-line generic review.
  • I complete reviews only after I have read your entire book.
  • I do not accept money in exchange for reviews. My reviews are honest and driven by my opinion as an avid reader. I will discuss aspects that I love and areas that may have room for improvement. Sometimes these are based entirely on personal preference, and I will state that.
  • I have a full-time job! Being a book reviewer is something I do because I love to read and support the indie author community. I may not be able to read your book immediately, but I am always upfront about my timelines.

*Not all books will be selected for a monthly feature. If I commit to a review, I will leave it on Amazon and Goodreads. I will also reference it on my website. If your book is selected for a monthly feature, I will purchase a copy. I want readers to know that I believe in your work enough to spend my own money on it. I also want my review to show as a “Verified Purchase” on Amazon.
